No!No!No! Don't post things like this! Especially when they are so close to me.

She's just gorgeous and I would love to have her. Darn! Wish I could hurry up and get my finances in order.

And the link didn't work for me so I'm trying to put another link here.

If Oreo were only older and better behaved! She's so pretty and I'm sure she's someone's beloved pet from the look of her condition, I have to wonder why she was surrendered.

The parti in question has been identified (but still needs a home!). She was last known to be breeding stock for a parti poodle/parti labradoodle breeder in Oklahoma known as Baymeadows. Was this a puppy mill that the dog came from? I was curious, and found a website called Bay Meadows breeders. They have gorgeous pictures of parti poodles, and call themselves "Honest" beeders. I hope this isn't were the dog came from. If it is, no wonder people continue to purchase from them....false advertising. It's so sad....the dog is beautiful though, and I'm sure it will find a great home.

Seems like an awful lot of poos. Were fortunate not to get many around here (Oregon/SW Washington) and they go very quickly. Seems like I've seen a lot of poodle breeder ads from Mich. No offense meant to those in Michigan.

That parti-girl is gorgeous. I couldn't purposefully breed partis, but that is just plain pretty. I'm glad she's away from the mill.

no offense taken. we've actually got what i consider a miller right here in my own back yard (if she hasn't passed away yet) tried to get her busted, but county didn't find anything wrong when they did a surprise inspection. i'm thinking they didn't go check the "out building" way out back. grrrrrr.

and three of the spoos we just got came from a dumbass byber that thought she might make some $$$ from breeding them and now has found she needs to get out because it's "just not worth the hassle."

i call her a dumbass because she apparently has bred several litters thinking that her dogs were just getting chronic eye infections when, in fact, all had varying degrees of entropion. "you mean that's genetic? Huh!". well at least the good news is that she's getting out and we've got what's left of her breeding stock.

the better news is that all are scheduled for surgery and these dogs (Jolly Ollie was one of them) have the BEST doofy sweet temperments of just about any spoos i've ever seen. once they're healthy and cleaned up they should move fast. have two males one black and one appy and one cream female if anybody's interested . . . .

and we've also got a certain MI "show kennel" that has several champs that has the "dirtly little secret" of supporting its show operation with nothing better than a toy/mini farm. i wound up trying to help a woman rehab a "free" mini breeder bitch that she thought she was really lucky to get from them that took a good 2.5 years of heavy duty work a la aly's dieter and my cuirrent foster Camille to turn into a somewhat reasonable pet. you wouldn't believe the health probs. this dog had. i cringe every time i see one of their dogs turn up in someone's pedigree.

Yes, that's exactly the place. They 'do' have 'pretty' pictures. But anyone can take some pretty pictures and write nice things about themselves. Anyone wanting to make a 'business' out of this would be doing the same. [img]http://www.proboards8.com/v4images/sad.gif" alt="" border="0"/> [img]http://www.proboards8.com/v4images/sad.gif" alt="" border="0"/> [img]http://www.proboards8.com/v4images/sad.gif" alt="" border="0"/> [img]http://www.proboards8.com/v4images/sad.gif" alt="" border="0"/> [img]http://www.proboards8.com/v4images/sad.gif" alt="" border="0"/>

The dog in question in the rescue ad is one of the surviving pups out of several litters of Hydrocephalus puppies out of repeat breedings of the parents even though they were known to produce this. As far as I've been able to tell... I think almost every one of those pups that survived to adulthood became yet more breeding stock to pass on that tendancy to even more pups down the road.... And yes, these people all know about the problems but it ain't genetic you know. The father of this dog in OK rescue has also bloated young and been tacked but still is being studded out. But bloat is caused by kennel cough... so he's fine, just so you know. >

The story they are passing around now after several days of total denial that this dog was THEIR dog, oh NO, that was NOT THEIR dog, its someone else's dog entirely and that picture isn't their picture and doesn't look anything like their dog....... is now that yes, oh, it IS their dog but they have health issues in the family and must place some beloved family pets, blah, blah, blah. Same old song and dance.

Doesn't explain why one of their studs is on the Majestic Pines Doodle Ranch website in the same state.....

I can only hope that the rescue also strongly considered tacking Melinda's stomach when they spayed her..... If she's not already tacked. Since her father is rumored to be producing more bloaters like himself.

She's definitely a pretty girl. I hope the forever home for her is a wonderful one.

The date on the original post is 2005! The dog in question is most probably long gone- one way or the other.

Yo, Unregistered Guest-
You might wish to check the dates on posts before calling up something that is an eight year old request for a dog placement.

Unregistered Guest-

Going to post their articles page- for easy ref
http://caninehorizons.com/Articles.html

Kindly check the dates on posts - that way, we won't confuse ourselves with the facts. *G*

This article "Poodles In Public" I find to be of great info and fun. It's our notion for our pack of toys as to the um "how to", too when we are out with them and drawing general publc crowds. LOL
