Default hey all LTNS

Well, just like all the others that have seemed to pop themselves back in, I will do the same.

We are all doing well- Brazen is showing her age, she turned 9 this past fall. She has end stage arthritis in both rear legs - but due to the wonders of modern medicine is doing better than she has in years. I have her on prednisone and tramadol daily - along with monthly injections of Ichon (similiar to adequan). Im so thankful for tramadol- it's given me the Brazen I didn't think I would ever see again.

Brando's still Brando..and Happy's still Happy. I haven't been out training at all with Happy- we pretty much stopped at his RA because I've been working way too much, as Boscosmom pointed out LOL.

I started a job last November as a Veterinary Technician. I kinda fell into it- things at my regular job weren't going so great- we had lost a major client and things were just falling apart so I decided to look for something part time to take some financial stress off the company- I called my vet and asked her what I should do to become a Vet Tech, she asked me when can I start- LOL. At first it was only on Wednesdays assisting with surgeries and it's blossomed into 3 days a week- when spring/summer comes around it's much busier and it usually ends up being 4 days. I love it. When a full time space opens up, I will be taking it. Right now the hours are kinda hard because it's Tuesday & Thursdays 1-7 , and Wed 7:30-4 (sometimes 5). The Tuesdays & Thursdays kinda screw up my schedule but-- It really is my dream job.

My company however is doing better- granted we are running at 1/2 the income we used to make, but things are looking up and with every month the sun is shining a little brighter. Should I get the job f/t at the vets office in the future- my best friend and I will figure out what will happen with my duties at the company- Seeing as how I'm only doing 10-15 hours a week now, I may be able to still function in a billing capacity only and do maybe 5 hours a week. We will see-

I tested for my 2nd degree black belt in November- We should have the results/promotions any day now...I'm pretty confident that I passed. Karate has pretty much been the only thing that i"ve had time for outside of working at the vet's office.

My husband changed jobs last year, a bit more money, a bit better benefits but he's miserable. The job is very demanding of his time. He tried to go back to his old company- but unfortunately they had decided to close his position there for the time being- We are hoping that once the economy starts looking up, they will reopen it.

Well, that's about it for me! What have you all been up to?

Well I'm glad to see people popping back in! It's always hard watching our fur kids growing older. You keep yourself busy and for that I'm jealous! I'd love to be busy doing more than reading books
